'The Pitchies' is a skill contest and open only to legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia or Canada 21 years of age or older. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this contest.

To Qualify

A qualifying entry is an elevator pitch video, uploaded to the fundfindr.com website. The qualifying entry must be accompanied with a completed fundfindr pitch page and profile. The elevator pitch video, pitch page and profile will be referred to as an 'overall pitch'.

Expert's Pick Judging for 7 Finalists

Qualifying entries will be judged based on the quality of their overall pitch. The overall pitch will be judged on likelihood of success including most investor ready, most fundable and most commercially viable. 7 Finalists will be chosen to move on to the Expert Pick Finals. The Expert's Pick Competition is open to the Greater Vancouver, BC area as services are to be provided in Vancouver.

People's Choice Finalist

Qualifying entries will be voted on by 'The People' and the winner based on a combination of the number of ratings and overall score a competitor receives. The entrant must have a minimum average score of 4/5 and a minimum of 15 votes in order to qualify.

The People's Choice Winner will become the 8th finalist in the Expert's Pick Competition and will be flown to Vancouver, BC for the finals to compete for the Expert's Pick Title. Should the People's Choice winner be a Vancouver resident, no flight will be allotted but the winner is entitled to compete for the Expert's Pick Grand Prize/Second Prize.

Expert Pick Finalists

8 finalists will get the opportunity to pitch live in front of a Panel of Expert Judges. Finalists will receive 6 minutes to pitch with a 2 minutes for Q&A. Expert Judges will cast their vote based on likelihood of success including most investor ready, most fundable and most commercially viable. Finalist with the most votes will receive the Expert's Pick Grand Prize.

Should the People's Choice winner receive the most votes from the expert panel (or the second most votes), this person lays claim to the Expert's Pick 'Best Pitch' Title (or second .Best Pitch. title). However, the Expert's Pick Prizing must go to a resident of the Greater Vancouver area. If the People's Choice winner is not a resident of the Greater Vancouver area, the Expert's Pick Grand Prize/Second Prize will be awarded to a runner up finalist residing in the Greater Vancouver area.

The successful winner will receive described services at a start date mutually agreeable to winner and the sponsor listed. If for reasons beyond fundfindr's control, a prize component can not be offered by a sponsor, best efforts will be made to provide an equivalent prize. Offer valid as described above and cannot be applied or used in conjunction with an existing plan/product/software that is under contract. Should the Expert's Pick grand prize winner be in a position where the above services are not needed, equivalent value prizing will not be awarded and the remaining prizes will be offered to the runner up.
