Hi and welcome to le gourmet tv, part of the Broadband Gourmet Network; an exciting new way to explore food, wine, and beer. Each week we will stream brand new videos on a range of topics. In each of these programs we will try explore fully the whole food experience. Where our food comes from, how to prepare it with step by step video recipes, and how to pair wine and cheese with your meals. Our wine enthusiasts, will help us examine the world of wine, with tours and discussions with the winemakers, tastings to let you know what’s hot, and pairings with the recipes on the site. Our cheese programs will do much the same, and hopefully will open your eyes to world of flavours that you didn’t expect. Beer? Yes we will also have a beer fan in our midst, helping you decipher lager from ale, and what goes best on a cold winters day with an Irish stew. Our step-by-step recipes will be hosted by a mix of expert professional chefs, and regular home cooks with some knowledge to share. We will tackle baking and bread making, fine dining, grilling / outdoor cooking, and preserves.
Our business model??
Integrated branding in the content that is then 'Hyper-Syndicated' to every video web portal. So the website is not so much the money earner, but the video content brand of Le Gourmet TV. As consumers browse the web looking for food & bev video, we are becoming the go-to production house that they are looking for. By integrating advertisers brands into the content we can deliver a vast audience to this product placement.
Eyeballs = Money, but not just any eyeballs - these are consumers who are motivated in this sector and advertisers are willing to pay a premium for contact.
We have forged syndication arrangements to get the content out there, we have the production background to produce the segments; what we need is a solid sales team to bring in the big sponsors, and a back room staff that can edit, and code the website.
We have been out there producing and distributing our content for 18 months, a lifetime in the world of the internet.
Glen Powell the guy behind LGTV, comes from a background of producing TV advertising; so he has the depth to understand the process of film production and the client side of the advertising game. This is evident in the quality of the video that we have been producing, all content has been shot in HD so that it could be up-rezzed in the future as the 'net pipeline for video grows.
Glen Powell. Producer
Over the past eleven years Glen has worked in the Toronto production community. His experience has extended to almost every department on and off set. Over the past seven years he has line produced numerous commercial projects, as well as music videos, TV shows, and documentaries in Canada and around the world. Glen did a stint as fill in head of production for Radke films, Toronto’s leading production house for TV commercials. He has worked with HD production for a number of years and has represented Canada on government trade missions to China.
Julie Jones. Producer
Julie is an independent filmmaker who has just completed her first documentary on rural farming issues. Her background as a science communicator with the Ontario Science Centre, and numerous TV appearances on shows as diverse as ‘The Mike Bullard Show’ and ‘Breakfast Television’ have given her the strength to break down complex issues into easy to digest sound bites. Her experience as a doc director has given her a can-do attitude, when most producers would be looking for a larger budget.
