Posted 123 days agoI've seen this pitch before on the Dragons' Den and I gave it 5 stars but in hindsight, this thing is a P.O.S. and does not save any money. It's dangerous and should not be installed on any furnace.

Posted 123 days agoThis is the greatest invention of all time and it will solve the world's energy problems. I am Jason Swist and I am the best. I've reviewed all of the pitches on this site and mine is by far the best one. The best deserves the best so give this pitch the best rating it deserves. If not - kiss my ass!\r

Posted 123 days agoThis thing is a piece of crap. I installed one of the prototypes and had it inspected. The inspector shut my furnace down and slapped a desist order on it. I couldn't use the furnace until I had it removed and re-inspected. It seems you can not put anything in your flue that will cool the deadly gases that are supposed to rise quickly and evacuate the chimney. This thing is dangerous and will never get CSA approval.

Posted 130 days agoA very cool and innovative idea for leveraging waste heat from your furnace. I wonder if there are other devices in the house that this could be used with when a household does not have central heating (i.e. baseboards). If the cost is right and it's easy to install I think a lot of households would be interested in a device like this if it has a positive impact on the environment.
PS: Wrapping your hot water tank in a thermal emergency blanket will help reduce heat loss from your tank and further reduce your carbon footprint.

Posted 122 days agoJason, Jason, Jason, I see you used my name to endorse your invention on the Dragons' Den website. For the record, I would never endorse a product sight unseen and surely not one that is dangerous and illegal. Compromising the integrity of a furnaces' flue is not only dangerous but against code. If one were to install this device on a furnace, under warranty, that warranty would become null and void and I'm sure your insurer would have something to say regarding your homeowners policy. This is a bad idea and I suggest you try recovering heat from the environmental hotseat you referred too, in your pitch, instead. I do have a suggestion... wrap that water heater your leaning against with a thermal blanket and it will pay you higher dividends than what your pitching.
